Now it's time for something nerdy

So thanks to Youtube I recently have found something magnificent.  Something amazing.  I can't really think of what these are called in English, so I'll just call them Japanese candy kits.  They are these amazing like Japanese candy sets that rely on chemical reactions and shit.  Basically they're fucking awesome, don't believe me?  I'll post a video of one below.  Now watch.  Be amazed.  See what I mean? Now I know that they're super nerdy but like how cool is that!!! Check out more RRcherrypie, if you want to be amazed.  So I finally convinced my parents to give me sixty bucks to buy about twelve different kits online, claiming that I'm doing a candy culture study on Japan for my social studies class.  I bought them on napajapan.com, which I have done some research on and apparently it is reliable, the shipping can be a little much so I would just suggest to go with the 2-4 week option and pay about $15-20 for a reasonable order.  So yeah, I don't care if you think I'm weird.  I am.  But seriously I'm gonna let you know how they go.  Just let me know if you want to hear more or whatever.
Yeah bitches
Prom is a week from tomorrow so yeah I kinda forgot to mention that.
A little nervous....

Spring has sprung

Here I am,

With another fashion related post.  I've created two spring looks for you today.  One super sweet, floral, and pastel.  Like, I'm talking about cotton candy sweet.  Sweeter maybe.  Another is a little more spicy, for all you girls who prefer the edgier looks.  Let me know what you're feeling about these!

The first collection of items was inspired actually by some girl who I saw walking through the mall, she was wearing some cheetah print item along with a denim vest. Alas, I went hunting on Polyvore and made this fetching little combo.  If the studs on the shirt are too much for you, change that out for a regular white cropped tee, or just a plain white tee.  Really play up your vest and if you decide to leave out the leopard flats, discover your new statement piece!  Perhaps a red espadrille, spunky bow in the hair, it's up to you!

The second collection is something that is more true to my own sense of style.  Although I cuss like a sailor and would rather listen to Teagan and Sara than Justin Beiber or 1D, my sense of style is sweet.  With lots of pastels, flower prints, scarves, and pearls.  This is something I would definitely wear on a nice spring day, the shorts are to die for and can be paired with anything from a button down to a bikini top.  This top can also be dressed up or dressed down considerably.  That said, I love both of these looks and would definitely rock them if only I had the funds to purchase these items!  Let me know how you feel about them! Check me out on Pinterest and Polyvore.  I'll put my usernames in the About Me section.

Hi....

I know I'm a filthy liar and you hate me bunches but can we just skip all that and go right to the fun part?
Yes?
Cool.
So it's finally looking a lot like spring and with prom in the air, people are flirting their hardest and trying to get asked, that goes for both sexes mind you.
So all the douchebags at my pathetic center for education pull this pussy post it note shit where they think covering someones car with question marks or making a t-shirt, or spelling something in flowers is the way to go.  I'm here to tell you that all that is cute, but that's not anything that your prom date is going to remember.  She's not gonna remember the acne ridden boy reeking of Axe when he walks up to her wearing a prom t-shirt or she walks into a hallway where prom is spelled in M&M's.  You need to make this girl or boy feel as unique and appreciated as you possibly can, and if you don't care about making someone's day or boosting their self confidence.  Go fuck yourself.  Because that's the important shit.  That's the shit we remember.
But never fear!  Zola is here!
Here are some cute ways to ask someone to prom.
Don't be a bitch about this, the way you ask may determine if you get ass or not.

  1. Chocolate Bar-Buy some fancy chocolate (Godiva, Godiva, etc.)  unwrap it as carefully as possible and insert an adorable hand-written invitation to prom.  Re-wrap and deliver!
  2. Traditional Yet Classy-Make sure that you execute this in the right way to where it is not super creepy.  Wear a suit (or a dress), buy roses, balloons, chocolate, the whole shebang and show up at the girls front door.  Ask her/him to prom and give her/him all her/his prezzies!
  3. Serenade-As to not embarrass the potential prom date try to do this sometime when they are alone.  Ask the choir at your school for a favor, have them sing some cheesy shit that will make ppd(potential prom date swoon), enter at the last moment and present with flowers!  Pop! Bang!  You have a date.
  4. Romantic Larger Than Life-Make sure you include PPD's friends in this one because it could get sticky.  But votives (tiny candles)  and glass holders.  You don't need too many but more is better!  Spell Prom out in candles and light.  It's going to be super romantic and she/he is going to melt.  Seriously.
  5. Classic Stadium-At a soccer game or whatever sport is going on right now, get on the loud speaker and make sure that your PPD is there.  Say "Blank with you go to prom with me?"  or something like that.  Just make sure know they know who you are or it could get awk.
  6. Cheerleader-Ask the cheerleading team to do something like this in the lunchroom or at an assembly.  You know that annoying that shit they do when they're like "Give me an O" or whatever.  Ask them to spell prom and then say the name of the person who you want to go with.  Then you can walk out and TAAAADAAAA!
Keep in mind that anyway you ask someone to prom is probably going to be cheesy.  So have fun with it and don't be a prick!  Don't be afraid to be the center of attention, try to act comfortable to make your PPD more comfortable.  Seriously they're not gonna wanna spend this MAGICAL GLORIOUS night with anyone who can't hold a conversation, so get out there and be confident.
J.K. The real fun part is the after parties which are usually bitchin' unless there no drinking, dancing, drama, or dirty hook ups.

No matter what you do, Monday's will suck (but not really)

Today is a fucking Monday and so therefore everyone is ugly and I just want to eat and be alone.  Today spring sports start which means I automatically hate myself because despite my efforts to be healthy this winter I literally exercised 0 times.  Like legitimately.  I am that girl.
So let's do something about this pattern of suck-ass Mondays.  Let's make a difference in how the nation looks at Monday's.  Let's try to make them as anticipated as Friday's right after the last bell of the day rings.  Let's make Monday's into something.
So let's go against my blog title, now this is where you come in.  What the hell are we going to do to make the first day of the week (or the second day if you are one of those dipshits who believes Sunday is the first day of the week) more bearable for the masses.  So message me, email me, comment on this post! Brain storm, okay?
Now getting on to more important topics.  I'm sure all of you saw the Invisible Children documentary that went viral last week, and if you didn't here is a link.

This video has got almost 75 million views in less than a week and let me say I was one of the millions who had my eyes opened to the atrocities committed by Joeseph Kony.  SO this is where you come in.  Last week I ordered my action kit from the Invisible Children which was probably the best spent $30 of my lifetime.  I want you to cover your town with Kony's name on April 19th, let's make him infamous. I want you tell your friends, teachers, doctor, dentist, aunt, uncle, and that creepy guy who lives down the street. Tell everyone, because this is a story worth hearing.

I get it you hate me....

Okay so I have been gone for a while.  Maybe a long while, since like January 30 I think was my last post. It's been hard and its been busy and I know you don't want to hear excuses.  But I'm back and this time it's for real bitches so strap up and hold on because we're going places.
So because I have a habit of promising posts and just disappearing like I'm some kind of mythical creature from Narnia I'm going to stop promising posts on set days of the week.  They will get here when they get here and right after they're posted then, BING it'll be right up on Twitter, so be sure to follow UndeniablyZola to get the freshest news from your favorite 16 (almost seventeen year old).
Moving onward, this next week I will be turning 17 years old!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!  But also that's kind of a problem considering the name of my blog is The Philosophical Musings of a 16 Year Old Girl.  But I actually don't think its that bad after all, I'm the same person I was when I started the blog and much of what I will be talking about is going to be relatable to 16 year old girls!!!
Okay next topic  what i REALLY REALLY wanted to talk about was some changes that are going to be happening to the blog is that I really want to start talking about fashion which is something I am increasingly interested in so here we gooooo....

I wore something really similar to this back to school on Monday after break ended and it was honestly the best outfit I have worn in my life.  I absolutely adored it.  The sleeves on the blue dolman top I wore under the black blazer were not as long to they didn't show and I loved how long and lean the black stretch jeans made my legs look.  My outfit was a lot cheaper then this one, however these products all probably have a much higher quality then mine did!!!! So please let me know what you think about my first outfit creation.  I think it looks professional and cute with some great sex appeal from the high-heeled ankle booties and the skinny jeans.  Pair this with a loose bun, cat eye eyeliner and long black lashes and you are set!!

I'm Baaccckk

It's like it's been forever, but that probably because it has been.  A little after my last post the blog was hacked and although they never posted the person who hacked it changed all the passwords!  So I was unable to access you!! I know its so sad!! But that's why you cannot blame me for our lengthy separation. I have only been working my hardest as second semester junior and partying hard on the weekends (as it should be).  But I feel super different from my last post, anyone feel the same? As though we've grown a lot since 2011 already?  Or maybe its just me....
Anyways I am anxious to let you know a couple changes for this new and improved year!!!  I will be writing posts generally every Wednesday and perhaps occasionally on Thursdays but don't expect those!! I will be closing down the Twitter for now, just until I get into the habit of posting again regularly!!  Also I will be accepting email's for questions, comments, and general anythingness, so don't hesitate to contact me!  That's pretty much it for now!! But you can expect a killer post on Weds.

Zola
